Position Overview
We seek a dedicated and empathetic Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our interdisciplinary team. The PMHNP will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing medication management and psychotherapy services. This role allows us to work collaboratively with therapists and administrative staff to ensure holistic care for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducted initial psychiatric assessments and evaluations for clients across their lifespans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Provide psychotherapy services as appropriate to the practitioner's scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program specializing in psychiatric-mental health.
- Licensure: Current and unrestricted PMHNP license in Oregon and/or Washington.
- Certification: Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
